My first test of broadcasting pirate analog TV with a CATV mldulator which has an amplifier, so it can be connected to a broadcast antenna, and broadcast at least over 10 meters but I think the range is even higher, but I can't test the range yet as I don't have a portable TV. I have to set it to CATV 70 for it to broadcast in 19 UHF, but CATV 70 is -2MHz shifted than 19 UHF so fine tune is needed, but pretty much all TVs have auto fine tune even CRT TVs so that shouldn't be a problem. But when the analog shutdown happens I will move to high VHF because CATV and air VHF channels are the same. I'm broadcasting with a vertical dipole antenna which I made of copper wire and sealed inside PVC pipes to make it weatherproof; I also added a 75-300 ohm balun to let the antenna pull up more power from the transmitter and increase the range, the power I think it's barely 0.5W. Later on I will put the antenna in the top of the roof for better range.
